Analysis

Although we found that our country is extremely wealthy compared to others, we both agree that we should not be expected to send money and donations to poverty stricken countries. We both found that were are not extremely rich, but we are certainly not poor. We learned that there are other people and countries that are too poor to eat or receive an education or health care. We are lucky enough to have all those luxuries and more. We decided we wanted to do something about this and find an alternate solution besides sending money. We created long term and short term goals that countries should strive to use. The goals are not sending money what so ever, they are sending people and help that will actually make a difference in the long run. We also put links so you can learn and find other ways to help starving and poverty stricken countries.

Our Solution

The Longs Term Plan For Poor Countries:
1. Clean the water supply in the poorer countries to prevent diseases.
2. Improve the availability to health care and the lower the cost of health care so everyone can get it. Provide brochures so people know about symptoms of illnesses and treatments for the illness.
3. Improve the training with the use of natural resources and equipment to help increase crop sizes and save resources.

The Long Term Plan For the Rich Countries:
1. Improve and increase the work opportunities for the poor so they are able to make money.
2. Provide incentives for young couples so they are not allowed to have children until they can assure their well being.
3. Improve quality of education so the poor will have the knowledge to create opportunities for themselves.

Short Term:
1. Establish a health center and provide doctors that do more than the bare minimum and provide the best health care possible.
2. Create schools that are inexpensive or free so that each child has the chance to have a higher education.
3. Create jobs so that everyone has the opportunity to make money.
4. Create a bank system to help the people save money.
